After making a splash in a one-episode outing in "
Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD" called "Proving Ground," Grace Park was cast in the re-tooled "Battlestar Galactica". There, she played the revamped role of Boomer, more fully known as Lt. Sharon Valerii.
Now, Park has been cast as Kono in the updated
Alias DVD set, "Hawaii Five-0" which hits the air next fall. It's hard to imagine the petite Park in what was originally a male role of some
Arrested Development DVD set. In the 1968 hit police drama, Kono was played by Hawaiian, Zulu.
This is quite a change for the Kono character who instead of being simply a
As Time Goes By DVD set is now a champion surfer attending the police academy. She also just happens to be the niece of
Battlestar Galactica DVD set (originally played by Kam Fung and in the new series by Daniel Dae Kim). Kono even gets a last name -- Kalakaua.
One must wonder with a woman in the fold if an interoffice romance might be part of the
Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD set between Kono and Steve McGarrett ( Alex O’Loughlin) and/or Danny Williams (Scott Caan).
Fans of Stargate SG-1 ponder what might have been. In that "
Alias DVD boxset" episode, Park's character had a crush on Daniel Jackson, who was played by Michael Shanks. By happenstance,
Arrested Development DVD boxset was up for the Danny Williams role, but was beat out by Caan. It could have been interesting.
Park has proven to be a popular actress, and she's capable of playing a
As Time Goes By DVD boxset, gender-altered or not. Her work in The Cleaner with Benjamin Bratt is further proof of that.
The Hawaii Five-0 pilot is set to air in November 2010. Like the much-changed
Battlestar Galactica DVD boxset, viewers should expect similar shocks from this reworking of a great series, including a
Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD boxset who has some demons to fight and a woman governor (Jean Smart).
The first meeting of the
Alias Seasons 1-5 DVD boxset TV Club is now being called to order...
Ok, we won't be that formal every week --
Arrested Development Seasons 1-3 DVD boxset, I don't have a gavel or anything -- but I just wanted to signal that today's the day we discuss the first assignment for the TV Club: the 'Battlestar Galactica' miniseries and the season one opener, '33.'
In a vidcast, I discuss the
As Time Goes By Seasons 1-9 DVD boxset with AOL's Ryan McKee, AOL TV editor extraordinaire Kelly Woo and super-intern Chris Harnick. Below, Ryan, Jane Boursaw, and myself furthered the
Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-4 DVD boxset in an e-mail exchange from earlier in the week, where we go a little more in-depth about story exposition, 9/11 references, a female
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 1-7 DVD boxset and how many Cylon models we've seen so far.
The next Club meeting will be on Friday, July 9, where we'll discuss '
Alias DVD' season one, episodes 2 through 7. We'll publish a viewing guide for the assignment on Friday, July 2 (we decided to shift the
Arrested Development DVD to the off week). For now, enjoy the video and discussion!
Questions and discussion points for the next assignment can be
As Time Goes By DVD to us on Twitter (@aoltv, use the hashtag #tvsquadtvclub), on our Facebook fan page or by e-mail at tvsquadtvclub AT
Battlestar Galactica DVD. Questions submitted by 11AM ET on Thursday, July 8 will be considered for the show.
