'How I Met Your Mother' Actor Joining CBS Pilot

The son in CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" is joining CBS' comedy pilot "Assistants," reports Deadline.com.

David Henrie will play Mike in the pilot, who arrives in Hollywood from Pennsylvania and hopes his job as a celebrity assistant will open doors, the story notes.

Among the other castings is Thomas Kretschmann of "King Kong," who has joined ABC's thriller drama pilot "The River," about a TV explorer going missing in the Amazon, with Kretschmann playing a security chief searching for him.How I Met Your Mother
