Types of Golf Clubs--Woods

The name "wood" was used because previously the wood was used to make the club head but now steel or titanium metal are used. Its shape is spherical that contains the deep head from front to back. made is more costly than steel. But Golfer prefers titanium head because they get more advantage from titanium made head for its less weight. The size of the woods club head is measured by the driver. The longest size of the driver is called as 1-wood which is 45 ft. long. Similarly others are known as 2-wood, 3-wood & so on. The most people prefer to use 3- wood to 7-wood club heads. These are popularly called as fairway woods. The lofting of ball depends on the size of driver. The short lengthen driver makes a higher loft than the long one.
