Monk (Tony Shalhoub) is hired by a former child star who played in her favorite soap opera, “The Cooper Clan” - and the reality might tarnish his favorite
show. Among other problems: voodoo dolls, UFOs, a Nigerian whose wife was killed in a hit-and-run, camping trips with angry boys, birthdays, the assassinations of Dr. Bell’ s new group therapy , a drama critic snob, apparently murdered someone, as he watched play Julie, a dog adopted reluctantly
Monk, or even the possible destruction of the marriage of a good friend.
Tony Shalhoub, as always, with the participation and oddballish as Adrian
Monk, while his acting is brilliant tragicomic throughout the season, his performance in the final
episode is disturbing, brave and ultimately inspiring. Traylor Howard, Jason Gray-Stanford, Ted Levine and give solid performances (and all its characters get new romantic interests ... some very surprising!), And there are some excellent results in turn by Schram, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Virginia Madsen. But Shalhoub is the star of
Monk. This is the key to say goodbye to
Monk and the band after eight long years, but at least the eighth
season, is a brilliant farewell. This is what happened ... and this is what to do about
Monk.
