The longest running cartoon

I believe everybody have watched the longest running cartoon, at least watched one or two episodes, for that The Simpsons Season 22 DVD has been operating for almost 23 years since it was aired on 1989. However, because of its animated nature, The Simpsons' scope is larger than that of a regular sitcom. The town of Springfield acts as a complete universe in which characters can explore the issues faced by modern society. By having Homer work in a nuclear powder plant, the show can comment on the state of the environment. Thanks to the strong call of Simpsons fans, The Simpsons Season 23 DVD is on airing now, and two more seasons have already been officially announced after the rumor of that The Simpsons would be cancelled.
