Australia's Alison Munt overcame a vicious wind on the second day of play at the Hannover Expo 2000 Ladies Open to shoot a level par 72 and
TaylorMade burner plus driver take the lead by one shot going into the final day. Belgium's Valerie Van Ryckeghem shot a two under par 70 to trail Munt by one.
Munt expressed the thoughts of the rest of the
Golf Clubs field when she said that difficult conditions made scoring very hard round the 6081 yard Rethmar Golf Links.
"I am very happy with my score," the
taylormade burner plus irons tournament leader said. "It was not easy out there, holes like the 10th weren't reachable in this wind. If you shot four over or better today you had a good round."
The
TaylorMade Burner XD Irons and
TaylorMade Burner SuperLaunch Irons Australian managed to card three birdies despite the unpredictable wind. Birdies at the two par fives on the front nine accompanied by a six iron to two feet setting up a birdie at the 159 yard par three sixth hole, put the leader at eight under after nine.
