Friday Night Lights dvd, granting the show a renewal of not one, but two seasons, says Variety.
As is the case at the end of each season of the show,
Friday Night Lights' dvdfuture was very much in jeopardy. The show's second season was seen as somewhat of a miracle renewal, and the third season pickup (with help from DirecTV) was almost as improbable as the infamous Immaculate Reception.
Under the new deal, DirecTV will once again get first-air rights to the next two seasons, with NBC re-running the seasons after the show concludes on DirecTV. Each season is slated for 13 episodes apiece.
