K so running out of food / buying food ...

What kind of food do you buy for your mice and where do you buy it?

I can never consistantly find the "same" kind of mouse and rat food in the pet stores. It's always something different and usually gets more and more expensive. I try out different pet shops and they all have different stuff.

I tried the whole making my own food mix thing and honestly it's insanely expensive and by the time I get to the HUMAN food at the grocery I have spent almost all my money on creating a good diet for my mice ...

Goddamn I'm getting frusterated! Blah ...

I just buy a bag of mouse food and add oats, seeds, cheerios, etc.

The best advice is too find foods that have low protine, most fancys can't tolerate more then 15% protien. Hamster food is accually better for mice then mouse diets and vise versa. kaytee foods uses Ethoxyquin which is a known cancer causing perservitive, and was accully made to stabilize rubber... Sunseed is one of the best mixes.

I have Kaytee food right now and I'm definitley NOT gunna buy it again.
